ISACA Wellington is inviting participation from its members. Thanks to our members, our last ThinkTank session "What is the meaning of Governance" was lively, thought provoking and covered a lot of ground. ISACA Wellington is committed to building awareness of the value IS Assurance professionals bring to the Wellington Region. This includes the sharing of professional knowledge and personal experiences, the use of Certification and standards and to help protect the value of the investments that Industry makes in Information Systems locally. Topic for discussion: Can IS Assurance professionals better engage with Government? What benefits could members and their collegues expect to see through engagement? What role could/should ISACA play? Suggestions for the ISACA Management Committee to facilitate this engagement. A few scenarios shall be presented to assist. Format for the discussion: Like our previous Think Tank discussion, the format is aimed to be as informal and open as practical - with one Facilitator. We are inviting your personal views, experiences and knowledge on the topic. The official positions of organisations/agencies, product firms or even methodologies and professional bodies (including ISACA) is not in scope. To make this clear, we shall follow a few ground rules that Ron Segal, President, has put forth for the ThinkTank discussions: - Nobody is to dominate the proceedings - Everybody is entitled to a view - All views and experiences provide useful input and are treated as such - We’re here to express our opinions and experiences rather than those of others - For the time being we’ll suspend our reverence of ‘authorities’ other than ours [All] Your views on these would be appreciated, adds, moves changes!
