I have seen very little comment on the release of the latest issue of this survey. Is it still relevant? It is based on a very small self selected pool of responders. It appears to no longer have the support of the FBI or the academics who were part of it in the past.
Much more useful info and comment in the UK BERR (DTI) Security Breach Survey and the more comprehensive annual/periodic reports and surveys from the big 4. Periodic reports from CA, Symantec McAfee etc which analyse actual data from their AV and security systems give a better picture of the nature of the threat. Recent reports from Verizon analyse 500 actual breaches are also very illuminating.
