TopCAATs has been designed with ease of use as the highest priority. Running within Excel, not only is the interface familiar to new users, but it allows TopCAATs functionality to be combined with native Excel Functionality. The simple terminology and colour coded inputs make the tools extremely intuitive to use, and all the tools have in-built help (plus there’s a comprehensive PDF user guide).
With over 100 tools and functions, there are a wide range of uses for TopCAATs for anyone working with financial data. The tools include duplicate and gap detection, Benford’s testing, monetary unit sampling and exception reporting. There are also a number of less audit focused tools, which make day to day life in Excel a little easier.
The innovative section modules allow you to perform up to 17 tests at once on a specific area of the accounts, by filling in one simple form. There are 7 of these section modules covering assets, inventory, trade receivables, trade payables and journal postings.
Reinvent Data have also offered ISACA members a 25% discount off the license costs until 11th January 2009. To activate this discount, please enter the voucher code “ISACA” on the TopCAATs website when purchasing.
