We are pleased to confirm arrangements for our next joint presentation to be held on Tuesday 5th May 2009 at 3:30PM in Christchurch. We are privileged to have the Privacy Commissioner, Marie Shroff agree to address us to launch the results of the 'Business and Security - Portable Storage Devices Survey '. This survey is an initiative of the Privacy Commissioner and is a topic of direct relevance and importance to IT audit, governance and assurance professionals, other business professionals and all who work with personal information and technology. Details for the presentation are included in the attached flyer.
The presentation coincides with Privacy Awareness Week from 3rd to 9th May 2009 which has been brought forward this year to allow the Canadian and British Columbian privacy offices to participate. Privacy Awareness Week is a joint initiative with APPA - Asia and Pacific Privacy Authorities. It will see a variety of programmes and initiatives hosted by the public and private sector organisations from accross the Asia-Pacific region to promote private awareness. Further information on Privacy Awareness Week is also attached for your information and is also available at www.privacy.org.nz.
We urge you to support this unique ISACA/IIA event. As places may have to be limited please ensure you register your attendance.
