Information Systems and Control Association (ISACA-Wellington) Incorporated (ISACA) is the Wellington Chapter of The Information Systems Audit and Control Association and Foundation, based in Illinois, USA (together known as we or us). We have created this Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement (the Privacy Policy) in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and compliance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993.

2.WHAT SORT OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We will collect personal information about you (the Information) when you register as a CISA candidate online, apply to become a member, request certain services or products, or otherwise contact or do business with us. We may also collect the Information from CPE Enrolment forms, telephone calls, faxes, e-mails, letters sent by students, members and our other contacts and from subscription forms

3.WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THE INFORMATION?

If you do not provide the Information required, we may be unable to process your membership application or provide membership services or other information to you.

4.HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION?

We collect the Information to provide you with membership services, including the processing of membership applications and renewals, and maintaining accurate membership records. We may also use the Information to provide you with information about services, training and events that we believe you may be interested in.

5.WHO WILL WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION TO?

Information held by us may be disclosed to the following parties for the following purposes:

  • We will provide the global organisation with the Information in order to provide global membership services to you.
  • We will confirm your membership of ISACA to members of the public and other professional bodies upon request.
  • We will disclose your business address and business switchboard telephone number to members of the public and other professional bodies upon request, if you have provided that information to us. If you do not wish this information to be disclosed please advise.
  • We may provide the Information to our suppliers and business partners to enable additional membership services or other information to be provided to you.

We may incorporate some of the Information into aggregate (i.e. not individual) reports, which may be used by us or our business partners to review statistics or analyse trends. These reports will not include any personally identifiable information.

6.HOW WILL WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE?

We have security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse and/or alteration of the Information under our control, including firewalls, password protections and other security levels within our database.

7.CORRECTING & UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

You may obtain access to or correct your personal information held by us, or request that you be removed from any of our mailing lists at any time, by contacting us on the details listed below.
